- Mamoon Elbedawi, MD

Dr. Mamoon Elbedawi graduated from the University of Gezire and subsequently completed his residency at Howard University Hospital. Dr. Elbedawi completed his Internship at District of Columbia General Hospital in Washington D.C. After becoming Board Certified in Internal Medicine he became Board Certified in Gastroenterology. Dr. Elbedawi found his home in Genesee county in 2015 and opened Mid Michigan Gastroenterology where he has found his passion for serving the local community. Along with his extensive education and specialty services, Dr. Elbedawi has been known as a “physician with a great personality, who cares about his patients' treatment plan”. Dr Elbedawi is known to go out of his way to make sure each patient is attended to and treated like his own family.
- Amy Henson ACNP-BC
Amy Henson graduated from the University of Michigan with a masters degree in Medical Surgical Nursing and is a Board Certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. She has been practicing in Genesee county for over 15 years in Emergency medicine, Internal medicine and Gastroenterology. Amy enjoys providing focused care to patients of all ages and walks of life and is passionate about connecting with her patients individually to improve their overall health. She is a Michigan native and currently raising 3 great kids in the area. In her spare time she enjoys yoga, travel, music and gardening.
- Hannah Fleischman
Board certified as a Adult Geriatric acute care nurse practitioner (AGAC-NP) specializing in Gastroenterology. Graduated from Walden University with a Masters Degree in Science in 2020. Prior to graduating, Hannah spent 8 years as a RN at Hurley Medical Center. She specialized in critical care, Covid-19 and Oncology. Born and raised in Michigan, she enjoys traveling, camping and the outdoors.
- Julia Briggs AGACNP-BC
Julia Briggs, MS, AGACNP-BC is an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with over six years of clinical experience, including four years in hospital-based medicine and more than two years specializing in gastroenterology. She earned her master’s degree from Georgetown University and brings a strong foundation in managing both routine and complex medical conditions.
Julia has a special interest in caring for patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and is passionate about forming long-term, collaborative relationships with her patients. She has completed advanced IBD-focused training through the Milestone APP IBD Program and the IBD Immersion Program with the Cleveland Clinic. These experiences allow her to provide evidence-based, individualized care.
In private practice, Julia prioritizes patient education, open communication, and shared decision-making, ensuring patients feel informed and confident in their care. She provides care in both the clinic and hospital setting, supporting continuity across outpatient visits, hospitalizations, and long-term disease management.
Julia is recognized as a key opinion leader in IBD and serves as a faculty speaker for Johnson & Johnson. Her goal is to help patients feel heard, supported, and empowered while working together to improve overall health and quality of life.
